• How it began

I have always been fascinated by bees but until COVID, it was only a passionate hobby. During COVID, like everyone else, my family and I tried to get through as best we could, and we began expanding my hobby hives into apiaries.

  • "Now I understand what honey tastes of!"

We handed out jars to our family and friends and soon realised that our bees are doing legendary work. Our apiaries are based around the village of Marcham in Oxfordshire where the bees forage the choicest pollen
from fields, hedgerows, trees, woodlands, and wildflowers for the most delicious, most fragrant honey. Each hive produces different flavours depending on their favourite spots. You might notice blackberries, lime trees, wildflowers…tell us what you taste and tag us on social media!

  • From Bees to Bzz-ness

As demand for our honey increased we decided to turn this into a sustainable business. Our 15 year old niece came up with the name ‘Naked Nectar’ and designed the logo, and since then we haven’t looked back.
Very soon a passion project turned into a business! Huge thanks to everyone who has generously offered their time and energy to the growth of Naked Nectar.

  • It's all about the bees

Looking after and caring for the bees is at the heart of everything we do to do our bit to help the species survive and thrive in this area. For example, we take only the excess honey from each hive to ensure that there are enough stores to see them through what seem to be harder and harder winters each year.

After all, honey bees pollinate 75% of the world's food crops.
